North Dakota Mr. Basketball Finalists

     The North Dakota A.P. Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association has five finalists for the Mr. Basketball Award. It honors the state's top high school senior. There are two Class-B and three Class-A athletes up for the award which will be handed out following the Class-A boys state championship game on Saturday in Minot.

 The finalist in alphabetical order:

Briton Bussman, Milnor, 6-3 sr. G/F, second team all-state as a junior, Class-B Coaches senior athlete of the year, Region-1 senior player of the year, averaging 28.1-ppg, 8.2-rpg, 2.4-apg
    

Tanner Holte, Des Lacs-Burlington, 6-4 F, first team all-state as a junior, Region-6 senior player of the year, averaging 21.7-ppg, 9.8-rpg
    

Tanner Kretchman, Fargo Davies; 5-11 G, East Region senior player of the year. First team all-state as junior Unanimous all-EDC. Led EDC in scoring (29.2 ppg) and 3-point field goals, tied for second in assists (5.0), fourth in steals (2.3), sixth in FG percentage (51.9 percent)
    

Tyler Rudolph, Bismarck Century: 6-6 F, West Region Senior Player of the Year, Second team all-state as a junior, fifth in WDA in scoring (17.9 ppg), 1st in WDA in Rebounding (9.2), 4th in WDA in Blocked Shots  
     

Ben Weisbeck, Bismarck St. Mary's: 6-1 G,  First team all-state as a junior. Second in WDA in scoring (21.4 ppg), 6th in WDA rebounding (6.8), 10th in WDA in assists (2.4 apg),
