Posted: Updated:

The North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Williams County Sheriff's Office reported a fatal accident that occurred on March 5.

A truck pulling a tank filled with production water was traveling west on Hwy 2 when the driver, Samual Wing, made a U-turn in front of a Ford F-650, driven by James Waldhart. Waldhart struck the rear of Wing's vehicle causing 100 barrels of water to spill into the ditch and extensive damage to the truck.

Officials called the State Health Department, to ensure the spill is properly taken care of.

Waldhard, 51, died on scene and Wing, 31, did not suffer any injuries.
