The Bulldogs make their second appearance at the Boys "B." The first came in 2005.
The Region-5 champions beat Shiloh Christian to advance to Grand Forks.
They're a team that likes to play fast.
"We want to get up and push it up the floor, and our post should rim run. We want our guards to get wide and be a threat. If they're up tight on you try and go at them and force the action," says head coach Brian Nieuwsma.
"Our defense is very important. Even in practice we do mostly defense and not offense because we are a smaller team so we need to be the tougher team and move scrappy," says senior Zack Schmidt.
"We get Zack playing fast, and he kind of helps be a spark for everyone on the team. That just helps everyone else," says sophomore Peyton Gabrielson.
This trip to be "B" feels extra special for the seniors considering where they started.
"My first year of varsity was eighth grade, and we went two and 20 and it was a rough year. We had a lot of those losses, but it kept me wanting to win more, and more and more, and I always appreciate a win. They're hard to get so getting to state is just amazing I can't describe the feeling," says senior Taylor Krenz.
The Bulldogs hope to appreciate a win against Fargo Oak Grove.
