Homeless Coalition Thanks Donators

Posted: Updated:

You mayhave noticed all of the food is gone from the set. Last week the 11th annual Have a Heart Food Drive wrapped up.

And,on Monday afternoon, we were loading up all of the donations.

Duringthe entire month of February, KMOT-TV teamed up with the Minot Area HomelessCoalition to collect personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies andnon-perishable food items.

All ofthe donations will be given to different food pantries in the area to assistpeople in need.

"Thisis just a big thing to help the pantries to continue to do their mission ofproviding to those in need. And I'm just astounded. Idon't know what else to say.  This is just wonderful," says the director of the Area Homeless Coalition MacMcLeod.

KMOT wants to thank everyone that donated to this year's drive. If you were unable toparticipate, but would still like to donate call 852-6300.

A few months ago, Facebook created a new change to the mobile app, causing a stir among users. Users can't message or chat with friends through the app anymore. Instead, users are urged to download a separate app called Messenger.
