Judge Sentences Man For Mary Lockdown

Posted: Updated:

The man who caused the lockdown at the University of Mary was sentenced this morning.

On Nov. 22, 2013 Patrick Casas posted threatening messages on Facebook and was later arrested for terrorizing.

Casas, 20, pleaded guilty to terrorizing and was sentenced to two years deferred along with 50 hours of community service. The judge also ordered him to continue psychotherapy and to write an apology to the university.

Casas' defense attorney Bob Bolinske says the school will take Casas back.
