Minot Continues City Manager Search

Posted: Updated:

It's back to the drawing board in the new city manager search.

The panel of local community leaders who had been reviewing applications to replace outgoing city manager David Waind, will re-start the process. The applicant list had been narrowed from 36 to 3. Those finalist were given the chance to give a brief overview of their vision for Minot in a series of luncheons last week.

The search committee then eliminated two finalists and offered the position to Cindy Hemphill.

After some consideration, Hempill turned down the offer stating that she could "best serve the citizens of Minot in her current capacity as city finance director."
