Public Gathers for Agricultural Film

Posted: Updated:
Even if you're not a farmer, experts say it is important to learn about soil.

And that's why the North Dakota Humanities Council and Bis-Man Community Food Co-Op invited the public to watch the film Symphony of the Soil.

Filmed on four different continents, the film explores the complexity of soil and how its condition affects people in their everyday lives. And organizers say they want the public to understand the role soil plays not only in human health.

"So I think we all have a stake in understanding and taking action to try and improve the soil conditions in which our food which belongs to all of us is grown," says Nutrition and Wellness Specialist, Abby Gold.

If you weren't able to make it to the discussion and film you can visit symphonyofthesoil.com.
