Possible Plea Deal For Cobb

Posted: Updated:

The white separatist of Leith may be getting out of jail soon. Victims who are accusing Craig Cobb of terrorizing say State's Attorney Todd Schwarz called them last night to tell them he had reached a plea deal with Cobb's attorney.

Schwarz also dropped one of the charges of terrorizing against victim Greg Bruce, saying Bruce told a Grant County Sheriff's deputy that he had no fear Cobb was going to hurt him during the incident. Bruce denies saying that.

The other victims say they are disappointed with the plea deal, because they wanted to see Cobb in court.

"That's the whole issue is go before the jury, we take our chances, whether he gets convicted or not, we really don't care. We want him to be held accountable for everything. If he does get out on a plea deal and doesn't have to serve anymore time, it's not going to be pretty," says Greg Bruce.

The judge still has to accept the deal. As of now, a jury trial is set for July.
