Motorcycle Clubs Raise Money For Veterans Memorial

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds of people are together tonight to raise money to build a memorial in honor of North Dakota Veterans.

Two local Motorcycle Clubs are hosting a fundraiser tonight at the Bismarck 4-H Building. The cost to get in is $10 and there's raffle drawings, dinner, silent auctions and live music.
The money raised will go towards building a $200,000 Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Memorial.

"Well first off you know its something that should have been done 40 or 50 years ago, a place for a family to go and mourn their loved ones that never returned to American soil and you know if you think about it, where does a family go for  POW or MIA there is no place to go and that's the purpose of the memorial that we're building," says Viet Nam Vets Legacy Vets Member, Virgil Horst.

The fundraiser will be going on until 1 a.m., so you still have plenty of time to head out there.
