FBI Searches For Montana Man

Posted: Updated:

The FBI is asking the public's help in finding a dangerous Montana fugitive that is charged with avoiding prosecution, aggravated assault and attempted rape.

Kevin Briggs goes by many names Kevin Bacon, Aimee MacIntire, Timothy McCoy, James Meismer and James Zenon Meismer. He has many birthdays: January 17, 1986; January 13, 1986; January 18, 1986 and April 30, 1989. But, he has a few markings that won't be easy to change.

Briggs has a sunburst tattoo around his right nipple, a tattoo in his armpit and a tattoo on his lower lip. He also has a double "snake bite" piercing on his bottom lip, his ears pierced along with his bellybutton.

Even though Briggs is a registered sex offender and a convicted felon, the FBI took an interest in him after he attempted to rape and strangle a woman in Bozeman. After she managed to call the police, Briggs resisted arrest and hit the officer in the face. During transfer to jail, Briggs escaped custody.

At the time of the incident, Briggs was on probation for previous convictions of sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated kidnapping, escape and burglary in Lewis and Clark County.
