Don't Buy It Until We Try It: Stick N Click Strip Light

Posted: Updated:

Whether it's your closest or storage room, finding enough light in small places is sometimes impossible. Well, there may be a battery-operated strip light to help light up those dark places.

No matter how much light is in a storage closet, there are still usually dark spaces. For campus Custodian Byron Wahl, the lack of light can sometimes make his job challenging.

"Some of the closets aren't that bright honestly," says Wahl.

The Stick N Click Strip Light sells for around $10 and provides quick and easy light anywhere, helping to make life a little brighter. Just slide the back off to install 3 AAA batteries. And, it's ready to hang.

"It looks like it's a permanent type mount," says Wahl. "There's the 3m strip."

It's as easy as two simple steps, just peel and stick.

"I'll stick it right up under here," says Wahl.  "I guess that will work.  Hey, I got it the right way."

But, once we turned off all the lights, the Stick N Click didn't provide much additional brightness in the storage closet.

"I don't know, I'm not too impressed," says Wahl.

Since we didn't permanently secure the light in place, removal was easy.  When we pulled the Stick N Click off the wall, it left behind no sticky residue.

We didn't have such good luck with the closest downstairs. So, we're going to try out a smaller one with not as much light.

We once again repeated the same steps, only this time we used both of the Stick N Click Strip Lights for more light. This time, the area is much brighter than before.

"This one, here, we had on the other location, and it's stuck on quite well and this is bare wood," says Wahl.

And, it's durable too. The Stick N Click was still in once piece after it fell on the floor.

"Initially, I wasn't that impressed with it.  But, putting the second one up with it seemed to help quite a lot," says Wahl.

If you're looking to light up small spaces, this is the product for you. The strip style light provides more light.  If you change locations several times, you'll just need to replace the 3m strips on the back.

So, this week's "Don't Buy It, Until We Try It," earns a thumbs up.
