MSU Presidential Candidate Visits Campus

Posted: Updated:

About 6 months into their Presidential search, Minot State University has cut the list to four candidates.

Today, Dr. Nicholas Piccolo was on campus to meet with the Selection Committee, tour the campus, and speak with students and school staff.  Piccolo currently serves as the Supervisor of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Alma College in Michigan.  He sees Minot State's importance in the local community.  "I think it's an accomplishment to what the institution means.  The difference it has made, in large and small ways.  Imagine if it wasn't here.  What people wouldn't have been here?  What jobs?  What relationships? What experiences wouldn't have existed?  To know that its here makes one optimistic for the future," said Dr. Nicholas Piccolo.

Thursday, Dr. Steven Shirley will be on campus to meet with Presidential Search Committee.  On Friday, the committee will decide which 3 candidates will be passed on to the State Board of Higher Education for a final decision later in the Month.
