Soup It Up Fundraiser Returns

Posted: Updated:

On a cold, windy day, some people may go for a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Today in Minot, people had soup on their minds.

It was the 7th annual Soup It Up fundraiser at the Taube Museum this afternoon. People had the chance to check out some new exhibits and help some local organizations in the process. Tickets were available for people who wanted to try a bowl of soup donated by local restaurants.

"Everything in the Taube is changing," says Museum Educator, Margaret Lee. "Believe it or not, we've been here for 17 years and people are still discovering us. But we have a lot going on. We have a very active education department, which of course I'm involved with, we have Art Fest, we have Soup It Up, we have Tomato Fest. We have lots of different things going on. It's a great place to come."

Proceeds from Saturday's event will go towards operations at the Taube Museum and to the Minot State Art's Department for their ceramic's scholarships.
