Minot Organizations Team For Girl Scout Competition

Posted: Updated:

Employees from several organization including the Minot Fire Department, Minot Air Force Base and KMOT news teamed up with local girls scouts for some cookie competitions.  It was a fun time, but also another way for the girls to learn some life-long skills.

"Girl Scout cookie sales is actually a program for us," says Dakota Horizons Girl Scouts Program Director, Jaymee Scrostowski. "We have definite outcomes we want, we expect the girls to learn goal-setting, money handling, business ethics and people skills. We hope the girls learn these from selling cookies."

Girl Scout cookie sales continue through March 9. Families looking for more information on joining Dakota Horizons Girl Scouts should visit http://gsdakotahorizons.org/
