Senate Youth Program Selects North Dakota Students

Two North Dakota students were selected to participate in the annual U.S. Senate Youth Program. Bethany Berntson, Valley City High School, and Tyler Toepke Floyd, Wishek, will attend the program in Washington D.C. this spring.

Each year, students from every state compete to attend the program that brings more than 104 students to the capitol. For an week, students attend study briefings with Senators and Congressional staff, the President, a Justice of the Supreme Court, leaders of cabinet agencies and top members of the national media. They also have free time to visit tourist attractions.
