Program Helps Parents Supervise Teen Driving

Posted: Updated:

Teaching a teenager to drive can be nerve-wracking. A new driving program could help.

The Parent's Supervised Driving Program helps parents teach their children how to drive, providing suggestions on how to navigate the challenge. Parents can read a pamphlet or use the free mobile app to train their teens.

"It'll keep track of it for you, so that you can be assured that you're actually having them do, and drive in all the conditions that they will be driving in as they get out there on their own," says parent Laurie Martin.

"This app is really helpful and learning it is exciting," says parent Mason Martin.

Ford Motor company and the Department of Transportation joined this national program to prevent teen traffic injuries and death.
