Hoeven Works to Develop More Energy Infrastructure

Posted: Updated:

Senator John Hoeven supports the MDU Resources Group's plan for a 325 mile upper Midwest natural gas pipeline. He see it as a vital kind of energy infrastructure for North Dakota and the nation.

The senator is working to develop more energy infrastructure, including gas pipelines to reduce flaring and to make more supplies of home heating fuel available. The new pipeline will carry enough natural gas annually to heat 1.3 million homes.

He says more energy infrastructure can hedge against the kind of potential service interruption that occurred this week when a TransCanada gas pipeline ruptured due to cold weather.
