Dakota Territory Gun Show

Posted: Updated:

It was all about guns this weekend at the Bismarck Civic Center. Folks from all over came out for the Dakota Territory Gun Show.

The Dakota Territory Gun Collectors Association was formed in 1961 and was the brainchild of a group of gun enthusiasts who had a goal of preserving the second amendment -  the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

The organization raises funds through member dues and gun shows. And as of today, the organization boasts more than 2,000 members from all parts of the country.

Here in Bismarck exhibitors were showing off modern firearms, along with some World War One memorabilia and even self defense equipment.

The show started yesterday and lasted until 3 o'clock this afternoon. The next show will be held next weekend at the national field archery building in Yankton, South Dakota.
