Hope Manor Hosts Open House

Posted: Updated:

Hope Manor invited neighbors and those from the surrounding area to tour the house and learn a little about it earlier today. The home is completely self sufficient and residents will be expected to pay rent and have a job.

The Vice President of the Sober Living Network based out of Southern California, came out to inspect it. Moris says he is checking to make sure that it will be clean, healthy and not overly crowded for residents,  and,  Hope Manor passed the test. Moris says that he thinks Hope Manor will encourage the growth of more sober living homes in the area, which can make a huge impact on the community.

"The studies we have done in Southern California within our organization we have saved the state approximately $50 to $75 million per year in taking that used to be a burden to the tax payer with legal fees, incarceration fees, all of these types of things that alcoholics and drug addicts cause. These problems are solved by places like this at no cost to the tax payer," says Moris.

Hope Manor had about 60 people visit during the open house. Neighbors are supportive of the home's mission.
