In addition to the 40,000 products they brought to the Magic City, they also brought 100 new positions to the community.

"About 30 percent of our team is actually from other Home Depots that transferred in. And, will train and develop our new associates here," says store manager, Jason Barker.

And, for those who need a little extra assistance in the building department, Home Depot is here to help. They offer classes each month to help get you started.

"Whether it's pro area or flooring or electrical and plumbing. We have a lot if people that have experience that can help walk you through those different steps," says Barker.

So, if you're new to the design and home improvement world, not to worry. Employees are able to teach you do it yourself projects in their free seminars each month.

Doors open this Thursday at 6 a.m. Home Depot's grand opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
