Exciting Changes Coming to Medora

Posted: Updated:
Western North Dakota is growing fast, but one town that hasn't seemed to change too much is Medora. Even though the tourist town has stayed pretty much the same for years there are some exciting changes happening this winter.

Two major construction projects are going on right now to boost tourism and public safety. They're building a new Badlands Pizza Parlor in the center of Medora. There's also a larger fire hall going up just outside of town. It will give firefighters more space, and help the department avoid downtown traffic.

"They're both improvements on existing businesses, or entities," says Medora Mayor, Doug Ellison. "We have a small fire hall downtown which we've outgrown so of course that is needed."

Mayor Ellison says both projects should be finished by the spring.
