Broadway Center Hopes to Draw More Downtown

Posted: Updated:

A luxury condo development hopes to bring more people to the downtown district. Taking advantage of the Renaissance Zone tax incentive, owner Stephen Pine, decided to build the Broadway Center on the corner of Broadway and Mandan Street. The center includes 17 condos and a bar and grill restaurant.

Pine says that he wants to bring more housing to the downtown area so people can walk to work and their favorite restaurants. Pine says he thinks the condos will attract both young and old.

"We're actually doing something a little bit different. It hasn't been done in the Bismarck area or probably in North Dakota. But, if you go to bigger cities there is all types of downtown housing, and I think that Bismarck is ready for that here. We're seeing a lot of interest in our condos," says Pine.

The condos and the restaurant should be ready to open in about a month.
