Mandan Store Offers Homemade Goods

Posted: Updated:

A newly opened business in Mandan is aimed at making you feel at home. Gramma Brauns opened in October and replaced the "Buck Or So" dollar store. The owners of The Dollar Store decided that a certain niche was missing from the community and wanted to try and fill it. So, they opened Gramma Brauns Hometown Market, which focuses on homemade goods, as well as providing a place that carries products from local vendors.

"There's a lot of big box stores a lot of corporate names which are very valuable, but you know we still think it's important to shop small and sticking with some of the hometown retailers. So, what we've done, like I said, is have things made for us done some proprietary recipes and commercial kitchens and come up with different sauces and recipes that are tasty, really tasty," says store owner Kim Ressler.

Gramma Brauns is located off of Memorial Highway in Mandan and is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
