National Guard Hosts Tac Ball Event

Posted: Updated:

It may be too cold outside play paintball, but the North Dakota National Guard has an indoor alternative. On Monday the National Guard is hosting a Tac Ball event at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory, in Bismarck.

Tac Ball is similar to paint ball except using small rubber pellets inside a gym.  Students and their family members are welcome to come and play as well as learn more about the National Guard. Guard members say it's a great opportunity for those interested to talk to people who aren't recruiters.

"A lot of people don't really understand what all the guard has and what were all about.
A lot of people say you know they just look at what's on TV and what they see and what they hear about from other people," says Sgt. Dan Upgren, North Dakota National Guard. "So, it's really cool for them to have a chance to come out and talk to people who are a part of the Guard everyday."

The tac ball event is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
