Live Nativity Scene in Minot

Posted: Updated:

The sub-zero temperatures didn't stop Minot residents from heading out to see the 5th annual live nativity today.

Members of the West Minot Church of God shared the story of the birth of Christ.  The Church has constructed a manger and all the characters from the story are represented by the congregation. Live animals are even brought in to make the scene as authentic as possible. And, Pastor Jeff Heber hopes that those who attend will leave with the message that anyone can change the world.

It gives our volunteers and Church members something to do, and to feel plugged into the Christmas story themselves, and maybe some of the realities of that cold winters night 2000 years ago," says Pastor, Jeff Heber. "But the same goes for families and their children.  I'm sure they see it in a book, they hear it, the Christmas story, but to see it with their own eyes I think that puts a little more reality in the story for them."

Those who didn't have the chance to check out the live nativity can do so tomorrow from 3:00 to 7PM.
