Layaway Angels

Posted: Updated:

It happens all over the country, and right here in Bismarck is no exception.

Layaway Angels is an organization where members anonymously pay for items that have been put on layaway. K-Mart in Bismarck works with Layaway angels and says it has seen many donations this year, and even a few in the past week. Store manager Tyler Sholey says many layaways that contain children's clothing and toys are paid for, as well as past-due layaways.

"It's a great feeling when they come in and do it, its probably one of the best perks of the job I'd say,  you go all year round," says manager, Tyler Sholey. "And then finally when that happens it's a good feeling for them to come in and we get to call those people whose layaways were paid off and let them know and they get to come in and pick up their items, its a pretty good feeling."

Sholey says that K-Mart has been working with Layaway Angels for as long as he's worked there, which is 6 years.
