Executive Air Offers Christmas Light Tours

Posted: Updated:

A Bismarck air taxi company is giving passengers a light show they won't soon forget.
Executive Air offers aerial Christmas light tours through the month of December.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And Executive Air is helping passengers get into the Christmas Spirit.

"Normally, people want to do things in the summer when it's nice and green, but there is nothing like a nice wintry scene to make the holiday a little more special," says Paul Vetter, Executive Air.

Executive Air is offering aerial Christmas light tours through the month of December. The 40-minute flights take passengers 500 feet above Bismarck's winter wonderland, offering a bird's eye view of the Christmas lights.

"It's just something different. It's a great memory to create with a family member or a loved one. We have a lot of people actually get engaged on this flight. So, that's kind of interesting. And it's just a different perspective to get of Bismarck and Mandan," says Vetter.

But it's not just fun for adults. Vetter says a lot of children take the flight.

Four-year-old Matthew Priebe says he's looking forward to seeing all the different colors of lights.

"...red and blue and all the colors, except the girl colors," says Matthew.

Matthew is excited to go on his tour. And he came prepared with ear protection.

"I need to use them because the plane is loud."

The company has been offering the flights for the last five years. And they say it's a great way to celebrate the holiday season.
