Red Cross Serves Fire Responders and Victims

Posted: Updated:

The Mid-Dakota Chapter of the Red Cross set up an emergency response vehicle in the Arrowhead Shopping Center parking lot earlier today.

Volunteers and staff from the Red Cross served food and hot beverages to fire crews battling an apartment fire, as well as those evacuated from nearby buildings.

"We've been to fires like this in the past. And typically, you know, a fire this big lasts for quite a long time until they finally get to a point where they are safe, and they feel they can leave. So, we'll be there to help them out as long as it takes and as long as they're here," says Allan McGeough.

McDonald's on Broadway donated all of the hamburgers, and the Flying J donated the coffee.
