The Bakken Club Brings Business Atmosphere to Williston

Posted: Updated:

It seems like Williston grew overnight, but something is still missing here in the Bakken,  a place to mix business and pleasure. But look no further. The Bakken Club opens to members next week.

Pete Mayhak, co-founder of the Bakken Club, hopes this new atmosphere can bring people together to help further develop the area.

"If we can have the people that are influential in the region spending together and getting to know one another, I think that will sprout a lot of great ideas and great opportunities. I think the club can really be a catalyst for those great ideas and the development behind what's happening," says Mayhak.

The Bakken Club isn't strictly a business opportunity, Mayhak also foresees the club being a social outlet that is currently lacking locally.

"We thought it would benefit the business community along with the community at large in terms of social projects and developing that infrastructure that hasn't existed as much as it needs to relative to the opportunity that is here," says Mayhak.

Applications for membership to the exclusive club have been overwhelming. It is the place to be if one wants to take a leadership role in the development of the Bakken.

"Response has been fantastic. We've gotten a lot of support from a lot of the regions leading companies and individuals, very excited about the club and what we have to offer. It's the opportunity for people to become a part of the hub of leadership in the region. It's a safe, professional, sophisticated environment," says Mayhak.
