Caring Rose Week Underway

Posted: Updated:

With only one week until Thanksgiving, the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger are teaming up for the 15th annual Caring Rose week from November 18th-23rd.

For several years now, Artistic Ambiance in Minot has partnered with these organizations to offer the program.

Just bring two cans of food into the floral shop and they'll give you a dozen roses for just $10.

And, all of the food stays local to help those in need.

"I love doing it," said Tammy Holen, Artistic Ambiance Owner.  "It actually gives you chills.  Seriously, when the roses come in and you see them all and then, people come in and the smiling faces.  And, when people just constantly tell you thank you for doing this, to give back to somebody that's what's important in life."

Artistic Ambiance is open Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm.  They also have a location in Velva that's also participating in the Caring Rose week.
