Bell Ringers are Coming Back

Posted: Updated:

Need has no season, but when many of us hear the sound of the Salvation Army bells around the holidays, we want to give back, even if it's just putting a few bucks in the kettle.

But there are more ways to help give to those in need by volunteering your time. The Salvation Army bell ringing campaign will start up very soon, and they're looking for more than 1,200 volunteers to help ring bells at 9 locations around town. If you're a social organization you can also adopt a kettle for your business or group

"Giving back to your community we are helping support people of need in the Minot area, all the dollars gathered stay right here locally. Those are the people we don't know, if it's our friends or our neighbors that have a crisis or really a difficult time and we utilize a lot of those funds to help them through it," says Michelle Bussard, Salvation Army social services director.

The annual bell ringing campaign will begin Friday November 22nd. If you're interested in adopting a kettle or ringing a bell for a few hours at the grocery store or mall, you can call 701-838-8925.
