Tech Talk: Galaxy Watch

Posted: Updated:

A new device helps people enhance their mobile lifestyles. And it fits right on your wrist. Samsung released the Galaxy watch this fall.

It might look like something out of a .007 movie, but James Bond isn't the only person who can get his hands on it. The high-tech gadget is part of the Galaxy Gear line.

"You can see notifications through the glance feature on the device. You can also shoot videos, take pictures. It acts as a pedometer so you can keep track of your fitness schedule, all with the little watch," says store manager Nicole Binstock.

You can even answer phone calls right on your wrist. The light-weight device connects to the Galaxy Note Three through bluetooth connection. It can help simply your lifestyle and lighten your load.

"It takes video. It takes pictures, all from the device. You don't have to be near your phone to take these. And if you lose your phone, the watch will tell you where its at. So, you don't have to worry about keeping your phone with you all the time," says Binstock.

The smartwatch has a 1.9 megapixel camera, a speaker, and two microphones. And when added to a smartphone plan, you can access the internet from just about anywhere.

Binstock says the slim and compact watch is one of the most popular accessories.

"The commercials are on TV, so they see it and they come in asking for it," says Binstock.

You can check out the smartwatch by visiting a Verizon Wireless dealer near you.
