Bison Hope to Continue Winning Streak

Posted: Updated:

If you deal with the stock market, you already know past performance does not guarantee future success. The same goes for sports, but it can give you a little insight on what may happen. If the trend, following a bye, continues the North Dakota State football team, Illinois State will not be happy on Saturday. The Bison have won nine games in a row after being idle. NDSU did not play last week, but one of the senior leaders said they did not take it easy either.

"I think it's just how hard we work in that bye week. I think some teams take the time off and just don't practice where we take the opportunity to get better obviously guys that need to get healthy take the opportunity to get healthy but guys that don't need that time off we continue to practice and continue to improve as a football team," says Grant Olson.

The Bison are undefeated and ranked number-1. The Redbirds are 5-&-4 after winning 3-straight.

Live coverage on NBC North Dakota Sports begins at 2 p.m. central time with the Petroserve Bison pre-game show. Kickoff should be at 2:35.
