You never want to have to make a quarterback switch this late in the season, but the Patriots have no choice. Dalton Feeney was injured in the opening round win at Fargo Davies.
While Century was practicing at the Bowl today, Feeney was recovering from surgery.
That's the bad news... The good news is the Patriots won their playoff game to advance to the semi-finals.
"Chris Kraft will take over at the quarterback position. Chris is a junior, a very athletic young man, very smart man that can handle the load so to speak it's his turn and the team will respond to him," says head coach Ron Wingenbach.
"Losing Dalton is going to be another adversity that we're gong to have to overcome along with the weather and the past games and it's another thing we'll have to get over," says Chris Kraft.
Kraft's first start will be against Bismarck High. Whenever you are forced to make a quarterback change the play-calling usually needs to change a little as well.
"I think the one thing with Chris is he feels pretty comfortable with the offensive game plan that we've thrown at him. Are we going to make major changes? No I don't think so minor changes perhaps," says Wingenbach.
The Demons beat the Patriots during the regular season in the wind and rain back on October-11th.
Friday's playoff rematch begins at six o'clock.
