Post Office Creates Consumer Advisory Council

Posted: Updated:

Whether its public transportation or the post office, it's clear that the increasing population has impacted life in the Magic City.

That's why the United State's Postal Service is creating a Consumer Advisory Council in Minot.  It's a chance for the public to express their ideas and concerns to help make the Minot Post Office the most efficient program it can be. The group will be made up of residents, small business owners, and local government representatives.

"We looked at this as an opportunity to maybe get the community involved.  It helps us understand what the community's needs and wishes are.  And it also works as a way to get a little input from people, but it also helps us tell people what we're doing, what we're trying to accomplish," says media relations specialist Peter Nowacki, United States Postal Service.

The first meeting for the Consumer Advisory Council will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Senior Center.  That's where the USPS will look for volunteers to serve on the Council.
