New Ordinances to Slow Growth in Leith

Following the chaos of last week's town hall meeting in Leith, the start to this one didn't look like it was going to be much better.

Most of us know him by name now...Craig Cobb. He's a leader of the National Socialist Movement, and has been trying to bring white-supremacists to Leith for nearly two months. But some new ordinances may get in his way. 

"There has been some growth as your aware in the city as people wanting to move in or moving in and the idea is pass a moratorium to prevent new construction in the city until the city's had a chance to review and pass some modern ordinances," says attorney, Thomas Kelsch. 

Mayor Schock is also hoping these new rules send a powerful message to Cobb.

"Not only Cobb and all of his people have to abide by the law but everyone has to, because right now their acting like its his town and he is doing what he wants to do, it's not, it's not one persons town,  it's all of our town," says Mayor of Leith, Ryan Schocck. 

And Leith residents weren't the only ones who came out to show their support. 

"There were 3 to four as many people as last week, people from Bismarck, Ft. Yates, all over the region. It's good to know others in the area support us," says Schock. 

The temporary ordinances will stay in effect for six months, until the town council can implement new permanent ones.
