God's Child Project Donates Toys to Non-Profits

Posted: Updated:

The God's Child Project handed out more than 4,000 toy helicopters to non-profit organizations at the Bismarck Aero Center this afternoon.

The event, Dreams in Flight, is a celebration for Bismarck-Mandan area families. Children played with flight simulators, created paper planes, and much more.

"We're presenting the toys to the non-profits, and they will be giving them out to children in their programs. So, each of the non-profits will get a few hundred helicopter sets, however many they thought they would need for Christmas presents," says special activities coordinator Kristin Clouston.

Hess Oil Company donated 17 pallets of helicopters to the God's Child Project. But the cost to send them Nicaragua was too expensive, so God's Child donated them locally.
