Heavy Traffic Causes Delays

Posted: Updated:

Minot roads are as busy as they've ever been. And, that's not always good news when it comes to the rules of the road. With increased drivers on the road, that allows for some traffic jams. But, the Minot Police Department says some of those delays are caused by drivers blocking the intersections. And, in the state of North Dakota, that's against the law.

"And, that's basically says that once you enter the intersection, you have to be sure there's room on the other side of it for you to clear the intersection. And, a lot of these cases, that's not happening," says Captain John Klug.

The violation for blocking an intersection is a $20 fine.
