Commission Approves Proposed Wind Farm

Posted: Updated:

Adams County is one step closer to having its own energy boom, but it has nothing to do with oil production. Yesterday, the Public Service Commission approved plans for a wind farm near Hettinger by a vote of two to one. It will include seventy-five wind turbines in Duck Creek and parts of Holt Townships. The project will cost about $300 million.

The company, Thunder Spirit Wind, will build the wind farm. It's hoping to complete the project by the end of 2014.
