Messy Game Expected for Bishop Ryan and Griggs County

Posted: Updated:

The weather was absolutely perfect today. That won't be the case Friday. Heavy rains are expected which will make the football games around the area very messy.

Undefeated and number 1 Bishop Ryan play Griggs County this weekend. Austin Eggl has really done a good job finding his receivers this season but this game will be different. It might be won on the ground.

"We're excited. It could be a monsoon, it could be a mud bowl there and we're looking forward to that. That's something people haven't seen from us. Last game we had 300 yards rushing, but this is probably going to be a game that will require some good running through the trenches," coach Brad Borkhuis says.

"It's never okay to make excuses whether it be rain or snow or whatever. You just gotta concentrate on your task and if your task is to catch the ball, concentration is going to be key," wide receiver Jake Magnuson says.
