South Dakota Storm Destroys Horses and Cattle

Posted: Updated:

Last week's snowstorm in South Dakota not only brought heavy snow and wind, but also brought some trouble for some cowboys that were heading to this weekend's Rodeo in Minot.

J.B Lord of Sturgis, South Dakota had about 36 inches of snow at his home. Due to the harsh conditions, the storm took the life of his 21-year -old horse, Baywatch.

The roping horse was the 2012 Badlands Circuit Heading horse of the year.

Another Y's Men's Rodeo participant, Tyler Robertson of Sturgis, South Dakota lost some cattle due to last week's storm.
