I knew I wanted a career in journalism the day I started writing for my school's newspaper in eighth grade. From there, my passion for telling people's stories and covering sports has taken me all over the East Coast. I am from outside of Philadelphia, but have also reported in New York and Virginia. This is the furthest West I have ever traveled, so I'm excited to explore central and western North Dakota. Every day brings a new challenge and new people to meet, and that's what I love about this job!
I graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, I spent a summer with WAVY-TV's Sports Department in Portsmouth, Virginia. This gave me some of the best reporting experiences in my career thus far; I had the opportunity to talk to Percy Harvin (while he was with the Vikings) and Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers! I also reported on Syracuse University athletics, ranging from the men's basketball team's Final Four run to the field hockey team's first number one ranking in program history. I won the Syracuse Press Club Award for Best TV Sports Story for my coverage of the women's field hockey team.
Outside of work, I love to travel, run, do yoga, and play guitar. I am also an avid sports fan of course, so you can always catch me watching every Syracuse basketball or New York Jets game! If you have any story ideas for me, send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
