I am a born and raised Detroiter! I grew up about an hour northeast of the city in the suburb of Clinton Township, MI. I went to the University of Detroit Mercy, a small private school in the heart of the city. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications. While I was there I had the privilege to play for the women's soccer team all four years. I loved playing and it has made me who I am today! Once I finished my collegiate soccer career I focused all of my attention on a different passion, broadcast journalism.
I interned for a radio station my junior year and that's when I knew I belonged in this industry. I had always written for UDM's newspaper, but I wanted to get on camera. Since we didn't have a broadcast program, I made my own. I began working with the Athletic Department reporting for "Titans TV" where I would conduct weekly interviews and stories on sports teams and student athletes. I also worked for the Horizon League Network, assisting in the broadcast of our basketball games. After graduating, I was hired as a part-time reporter at the NBC affiliate in Traverse City, MI. I learned so much during my three months there but I knew I needed a full-time job, and that's how I landed this amazing position at KFYR-TV!
I love being your city and business reporter during the week, and reporting and anchoring for the weekends! I am so grateful to have a job that lets me meet so many people and see amazing things! In my free time, I love to run, play soccer, shop, pretty much anything that gets me out and about, so if you ever see me feel free to say hi! If you have any story suggestions for me, you're more than welcome to shoot me an email at email@example.com.
