For as long as I can remember, I've always loved talking to people, and pretending that my hairbrush was a microphone.Today, I've traded in the brush for the real thing, and am so thrilled to anchor and report here at KFYR.
As a New Englander I will drink iced coffee all year round regardless of the temperature, and am no stranger to the snow, although I am a bit nervous about the upcoming North Dakota winter!
I grew up in the relatively quiet town of North Andover Massachusetts, with my parents and two younger sisters. I have a large Irish family, and our heritage is quite important to me. I used to Irish Step Dance with Rita O'shea in Boston, and it's a fun skill to show off on Saint Patrick's Day.
In May I graduated from Emerson College in downtown Boston. While at Emerson I participated in a variety of clubs and activities, from student run television programs to singing in my college's acapella group Noteworthy.
During my senior year, I had the opportunity to intern at FOX 25 in Boston. It was an incredible year of learning, and I was able to help with coverage on the Sandy Hook shootings, and the Boston Marathon Bombings (Boston Strong!).
Aside from reporting and anchoring, you can find me thrifting, listening to records, or playing on my piano.
I'm a news junkie and would love to hear from you! If you have a story that you would like to share, please feel free to send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org!
