They don't like it but the Minot football team is getting used to riding the bus. The Magi plays its 3rd game in a row on the road Friday at Mandan.

Victories against Fargo Davies and Williston have shown Minot's ability to win a game in a variety of ways. Against Mandan, Minot will prepare to go head to head with a pretty physical team, albeit one with an 0-3 record. The Braves are pretty similar to Williston, actually.

"They're both kind of the same in the fact they run double tight. But what they do out of it is different. They're not going to option a lot of that stuff. It's going to be more right at you. They do a lot of motion stuff that we have to adjust for," linebacker Kolton Larson says.

"They're a little better offensively, I think. They're big up front again. They don't pose that big play threat unless you're undisciplined and get beat deep over the top. I don't see them having that explosive type of athlete, so they're going to be a grind it out, long drive, go for the home run. If they connect on one or two, we got our hands plenty full," Holmen says.

It's an early kickoff Friday. The game starts at 6:30.
