Cramer Visits with Minot Residents

Posted: Updated:

Congressman Kevin Cramer was also in the Magic City today to hold what he calls "Coffee with Cramer."

The U.S. representative travels around the state to explore local coffee shops and hold open public forums for people to discuss legislative issues that they want addressed in a relaxed atmosphere. Cramer mentioned topics like the budget, raising the debt ceiling, Obamacare, military action with Syria, and the farm bill. Then, opened up the forum for general concerns and questions from locals.

"Staying connected to constituents is very important, so I always say the best part of public life is the public and so this gives me an opportunity to take the aggraded wisdom of the people I serve and represent to Washington with me," says Cramer.

"D.C. is so far away, very few people get a chance to travel to D.C. at any length so being able to meet someone in person and establish that personal relationship I think that's important," says Ken Sletten, Bottineau resident.

Cramer says he will be hosting another "Coffee with Cramer" this Friday in Dickinson.
