Texas Man Sentenced for New England Bank Robbery

A Texas man who pleaded guilty to robbing a New England Bank last October was sentenced in U.S. District Court today. Johnner J. Ward Jr., 29, was sentenced on charges of armed robbery. He will serve 11 years in prison and will pay more than $4,000.

On October 18, 2012, two men wearing black ski masks and carrying guns entered American Bank Center in New England, N.D. After robbing the bank, they fled the scene.

Ward was arrested in Midland, Texas on November 2, 2012.

Colt Schneider, 19, was arrested eight days later in Sarasota, Florida. He was found guilty of the same charges on August 22, and will be sentenced on November 15.
