In a little more than a month, NOrth America's largest Scandinavian festival will make its way back to the Magic City.  The 36th annual Norsk Hostfest hits Minot this October.

Created in 1978, the Hostfest is a celebration of the Nordic Cultures from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.  It features authentic Scandinavian entertainment, cuisine and artworks.  More than 200 internationally recognized craftsman, chefs, and artist will be on hand, "We just think that tradition is so wonderful, the Scandinavian tradition.  We have people from different ethnic groups, but it's just a wonderful family time that brings a lot of people together from real fun activities," said David Reiten, President of the Norsk Hostfest.

The 2013 Hostfest starts October 1st and runs until through the 5th.  The festival kicks off with a performance by the Frank Sinatra Jr. Orchestra.
