Numbers Are Up at the North Dakota State Fair

Posted: Updated:

Even though the weather was a bit chilly at the beginning and attendance took a hit, it didn't stop fair goers from checking out the midway the rest of the week.

"Right now, we're looking at a little bit over 5,000 people more than we had last year at this time. So, we're very happy. However, what is most important to us is definitely the smiles that are coming through those gates, and the people who are out here with their families enjoying themselves," says North Dakota State Fair marketing director Jennifer Hubrig.

The fair welcomed more than 33,000 people on Wednesday alone. Hubrig says that is the biggest day they've ever had.
