President George H.W. Bush looks a little different these days but it's all for a good cause. The 41st President shaved his head this week to show support for a two-year old boy who's battling leukemia. This picture of the two of them has surfaced every where. The boy, named Patrick, is the son of a member of Mister Bush's secret service detail and his treatments have caused Patrick to start losing his hair. President and Mrs. Bush lost a daughter to leukemia 60 years ago.
Mister Bush also made a donation to "Patrick's Pals" a website set-up to help with the child's medical bills. You can check it out here.
Trending locally, Capitol Shakespeare is inviting you to their annual Renaissance Faire. Parents and kids ages 12 and up are invited to come dressed in their finest medieval clothes to have tea with the Queen, play games and sing songs from era, and of course enjoy delicious treats. The Queen of the Faire is excited to dress up for the day. "Just being able to be a different person and I know the kids are gonna dig it and I know that's going to make it even more fun." says Stacy Sturm, Renaissance Queen. Renaissance King, Kameran Ali, says he deserves this title. "I'm excited to be King. I think I've pretty much got royal blood in me and so being a King only fits me or suits me if you will, for the Renaissance Faire for the children." The Faire is Saturday July 27th, on the Capitol grounds right in front of the Heritage Center starting at 2:00 pm. For more information just visit their website.
